The won sign (₩) is a currency symbol that represents:

• South Korean won
• North Korean won

And in fiction:

Computing

The directory separator character also appears on Korean versions of Microsoft Windows as ₩, because ₩ occupies the same position (0x5C) on code page 949 that backslash occupies in ASCII.¹

Unicode

The Unicode code point for ₩ is U+20A9; it can be represented in non-unicode HTML as ₩.

Additionally, there is a full-width won sign: ￦ at code point U+FFE6 for use with wide fonts (esp. east Asian fonts).
