I haven't gotten any response from WPARAB, so I'll try here.
Can anyone check or add Arabic script at:
These are all terms from Arabic traditional music, so the spellings may differ from the everyday terms, as some of them may be derived from Persian or Turkish.
Many thanks,

Template:AfricaProject was recently modified, and now contains individual parameters for all countries in Africa (see usage notes). Since project-specific assessment for all African countries can now be accomplished through the template, a proposal has been made at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Africa to consolidate all individual African country WikiProject banners.
Comments or suggestions would be most welcome. Thank you, Black Falcon (Talk) 23:26, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Another editor and I think the story of the crocodile wife is likely to derive from Egyptian folklore, but the best we have been able to come up with are stories from Timor or India that don't really fit. Does anyone have any knowledge of this metaphor from Egypt?--Shantavira|feed me 13:12, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ali Faik Zaghloul, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Jeepday (talk) 01:33, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Just letting you know, I've removed your WikiProject tag from Stargate - the topic doesn't really have anything to do with Egypt. You're welcome to help maintain the article anyway, of course! --Tango (talk) 21:09, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi guys, long time no see! I just have a few questions about the notability at the English Wikipedia on Arabic/Egyptian related matters. As most of you know, it's pretty hard to find sources over the internet that proves the notability of those stuff even though they are quite important. But when I looked into the Arabic Wikipedia, there are treasures of articles which just need to be translated. I'm more than happy to start doing this but the problem of notability will most probably arise. So my question is, if something is notable enough (with lack of references, whether Arabic or English) to be posted on the Arabic Wikipedia, will it be acceptable to be articlized in the English one WITHOUT references? Thanks. Maged M. Mahfouz (talk) 02:00, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
The most important article to this project (Egypt) is being re-assessed. There are several citation tags that need to be taken care of and the problem will be solved. But it needs to be taken care of soon before the make their decision to delist it as a good article. --Al Ameer son (talk) 19:48, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
This project's subject has a page in the set of Lists of basic topics.
See the proposal at the Village pump to change the names of all those pages.

As you may have heard, we at the Wikipedia 1.0 Editorial Team recently made some changes to the assessment scale, including the addition of a new level. The new description is available at WP:ASSESS.
Each WikiProject should already have a new C-Class category at Category:C-Class_articles. If your project elects not to use the new level, you can simply delete your WikiProject's C-Class category and clarify any amendments on your project's assessment/discussion pages. The bot is already finding and listing C-Class articles.
Please leave a message with us if you have any queries regarding the introduction of the revised scheme. This scheme should allow the team to start producing offline selections for your project and the wider community within the next year. Thanks for using the Wikipedia 1.0 scheme! Just a quick note to let you know that Egyptian pyramids (which is tagged as in the scope of your project) is up for GA reassessment. The concerns are listed on its talk page, and the article will be given one week for improvement. Nikki311 03:58, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Currently, 1193 articles are assigned to this project, of which 267, or 22.4%, are flagged for cleanup of some sort. (Data as of 14 July 2008.) Are you interested in finding out more? I am offering to generate cleanup to-do lists on a project or work group level. See User:B. Wolterding/Cleanup listings for details. More than 150 projects and work groups have already subscribed, and adding a subscription for yours is easy - just place a template on your project page.
If you want to respond to this canned message, please do so at my user talk page; I'm not watching this page. --B. Wolterding (talk) 17:17, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Hello, as part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles/Project quality task force, I have conducted a Good Article reassessment of Great Pyramid of Giza. I have a few minor concerns that should be addressed if the article is to remain listed as a GA. If anyone is able to help out, the reassessment can be found here. Thanks, GaryColemanFan (talk) 14:48, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
The List of monarchs of the Muhammad Ali Dynasty is currently a featured list candidate. However, without supports or at least comments from editors, its nomination will probably fail. Therefore, anyone who's interested is welcome to leave his comments here. Regards. BomBom (talk) 00:43, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Wikipedia 0.7 is a collection of English Wikipedia articles due to be released on DVD, and available for free download, later this year. The Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team has made an automated selection of articles for Version 0.7.
We would like to ask you to review the articles selected from this project. These were chosen from the articles with this project's talk page tag, based on the rated importance and quality. If there are any specific articles that should be removed, please let us know at Wikipedia talk:Version 0.7. You can also nominate additional articles for release, following the procedure at Wikipedia:Release Version Nominations.
A list of selected articles with cleanup tags, sorted by project, is available. The list is automatically updated each hour when it is loaded. Please try to fix any urgent problems in the selected articles. A team of copyeditors has agreed to help with copyediting requests, although you should try to fix simple issues on your own if possible.
We would also appreciate your help in identifying the version of each article that you think we should use, to help avoid vandalism or POV issues. These versions can be recorded at this project's subpage of User:SelectionBot/0.7. We are planning to release the selection for the holiday season, so we ask you to select the revisions before October 20. At that time, we will use an automatic process to identify which version of each article to release, if no version has been manually selected. Thanks! Hi WP Egypt! Recently I've been writing some stuff about the Six-Day War and Yom Kippur War, and what made cross-checking facts rather difficult was the lack of a list of locations in the Sinai Peninsula (let alone individual articles). Can someone from this project compile such a list? I think it would belong in the North Sinai and South Sinai articles (similar to North District (Israel), etc.). Thanks, Ynhockey (Talk) 01:20, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
An African cinema task force has been proposed at WikiProject Films, which would include the cinema of Egypt. Interested editors are encouraged to sign up - if there is enough interest, then the task force will be created! Many thanks, Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 03:32, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Hello, I have improved this article a lot and it has been for a long time a good article nominee. Please improve this article, as it has lots of sources and references. The article shows the technological efficiency of Egypt and its ambiguous project for creating the fastest and lightest fighter jet. Hope to get it up to GA :) --Diaa abdelmoneim (talk) 21:43, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
See Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals)#Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Ancient Egyptian). Andrewa (talk) 14:09, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Based on a search of Wikipedia's articles, I've found some Egypt-related articles that I believe are about places, and could usefully have geographical coordinates added.
The articles in question are listed in Category:Egypt articles missing geocoordinate data. At the time of writing, some examples included:
...and there are many more. At the time of posting this notice, there were 199 articles in this category left to tag with geographical coordinates.
The articles are all marked with {{coord missing}} tags, which need replacing with {{coord}} tags that contain their latitude/longitude coordinates. You can find out how to do this at the Wikipedia:Geocoding how-to for WikiProject members. Please let me know if this is useful! -- The Anome (talk) 15:12, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
I don't know why, but this project is very low in quality and needs lots of improvements. I will start by redesigning the whole projects interface, hope u will help improve it with me. --Diaa abdelmoneim (talk) 09:32, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
I have improved the interface of this project a lot and am aiming for improving all Egypt related articles. Before that happens I need to organize the Egypt related articles to have an overview.
There are some things we have to do in order to have an easier way of improving the articles.
Please this Project has to start working again.
First Crusade has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. OpenSeven (talk) 17:09, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
