We're all equal

Personally, I tend to believe that there are extremely useful editors, useful editors, and useless editors. The extremely useful editors are those we are interested in keeping, for the benefit of the project. Anything that is conducive to that end is good, anything else isn't. None of us have any "rights" here, we are just granted access by Wikimedia. If you want to be useful, make life easy for the good editors, and make it difficult for the bad ones. Remember that WP:IAR is one of the core WP:5P. Anything you do should benefit the project. Yes, I grant you that only good editors can take recourse to IAR. This is kind of circular, because if you don't understand what a good editor is, you won't understand IAR. Such is life. Try reading Wikipedia:What "Ignore all rules" means. Also, Wikipedia:The rules are principles. Then, every time you feel like making a comment or taking action, ask yourself, does it benefit the project? In the short term or in the long term? I am sorry to say that if you don't understand what I am saying, I feel you probably shouldn't be an admin. If you believe that a clause at WP:PROT reading Administrators may apply indefinite semi-protection to pages that are User pages, but not user talk pages, when requested by the user after vandalism. should be upheld with the same uncompromising dedication as non-negotiable core policy like WP:NPOV, you do not understand what I am saying. --dab (𒁳) 21:05, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

A quick explaination of autoconfirmed users

I am not sure what you mean in saying that my edit to Wikipedia:Protection policy was neither fair nor neutral. The two qualifications for autoconfirmation are time (i.e. newness) and edit count (i.e. experience). There was already a discussion on the talk page, so could you reply there with a better suggestion? Thanks a bunch. Plasticup T/C 11:09, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
