The Highfield School is a specialist Science College for secondary education in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. The Highfield School teaches students aged 11-18 in Years 7 through to Upper Sixth Form. The school is part of the Letchworth Sixth Form Consortium with Fearnhill School.

Highfield runs a vertical tutor system, meaning that KS3 students are put into registration groups with a tutor who is specialised in dealing with Years 7-9 and KS4 students in Years 10 and 11 are put with other specific tutors. The system encourages the mixing of year groups and is popular with new Year 7 students.

Houses

Students are allocated to tutor groups which form houses. There are four houses: Babbage (formerly Anglia), Armstrong (formerly Mercia), Curie (formerly Northumbria) and Einstein (formerly Wessex).

Throughout the year there are interhouse competitions, including various small tournaments that are held in timetabled P.E lessons, dance mat competitions, and at the end of year, sports day.
