Peter Dengate Thrush 

Peter Dengate Thrush (born 1956) is a New Zealand barrister specialising Internet law. In November 2007 he was appointed Chairman of the Board of ICANN, taking over the role from Vint Cerf.1

Dengate Thrush was made an InternetNZ Fellow at the InternetNZ annual meeting on 2008-08-04 in recognition of his contributions to Internet policy issues both in New Zealand and internationally.2
